Joann Ayuso holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the
Joann is the founder of former Wellesley Boot Camp (WBC), an intense, four-week fitness program that she developed based on her personal and professional experiences and her own unique training philosophy.
Joann spent three months in boot camp for the Army Reserve. After just two weeks of training, she wanted nothing more than to go home, but she made the decision to stick it out and started giving 100% physically and mentally. She soon became the leader of her platoon and received many awards and commendations. Joann credits the peer support of other female reservists with helping motivate her to succeed and feels that her boot camp experience turned her into the person she is today, giving her the confidence to believe she can conquer any challenge. She remained in the Army Reserve until 1996.
After boot camp, Joann attended massage therapy school. When she graduated in 1992, she worked as a Chiropractor’s Assistant and a Licensed Massage Therapist, and she also built up a private client base of massage patients.
She is Physical Therapy Assistant.
In 2000, while attending UMass full-time, Joann also became a full-time personal trainer at Boston Sports Club (BSC) in

Joann has specific attention to detail when it comes to any history in injury, she will make sure that every session is challenging, safe and most of all fun. Every training session will be physical and mental experience that will include functional training, kettle bells, free weight and interval cardio training. She enjoys playing basketball, kettle bell training, hiking, running hills with her boxer. Please ask if you have any questions.
