My name is Ryan Smith. I am 32 years old. I was born and raised in Maine and New Hampshire. I began participating in sports at the age of eight. Most of my time was spent playing ice hockey, soccer and running track. My career as a personal fitness trainer started ten years ago in Wilmington, North Carolina where I became certified as a Health and Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine. Until recently I lived in Santa Cruz, California for four years. In addition to being in the gym, I enjoy many of many outdoor activities such as: mountain biking, running, surfing and hiking.  My ability to connect with and teach others, combined with the refined knowledge of 10 years experience has attributed to my success as a trainer. Though an outdoor enthusiast, the majority of training I and my clients do is in the comfort of their own home or office. 
I have assisted clients in all types of fitness facilities including large health clubs, private studios, home gyms, "boot camps" and home or office environments. My most common client's fitness goals include achieving and maintaining optimum body weight, increased muscle tone and unrestricted, pain-free movement. In addition, all clients wish to develop the habits of a healthful lifestyle they will enjoy for years to come - one of confidence, success and joy.
